Sleeping Warrior is an amazing place to be. It lies in the deep and quiet Soysambu conservancy, away from the hustle and bustle of Nairobi.
The camp is about 15 Kms from Kikopey. The rugged road leads to the unadulterated haven.
The charges are very fair, with very helpful staff who are prompt in sorting out any issue you may have. We happened to spend at the beautiful Eagle’s nest and had our bush dinner in the thick forest, surrounded by able guards and Morans.
Afterwards we enjoyed our warm bonfire as we chatted away the night with one of the tour guides.
Well, our nest was amazing, with a bathroom facing the landscape outside-imagine bathing while seeing the sunset. There’s was hot water too, for those who are in my club, “Hot water for life”!
The food was gourmet, top notch, perfectly presented yet with a simplistic touch.
We enjoyed the waking up to the birds chirping in the morning, the quiet evenings, the game drives, the “laughter” of the hyenas, spending the time swimming under the hot sun , and having quiet evenings.
If you want to bond with your hubby, in a far away place and rejuvenate yourselves, why not try Sleeping Warrior Lodge and Camp.
