My husband and I love traveling. It is one of those things we enjoy doing so often and yes! It keeps our marriage alive! Marriage requires not only for the couples to share the same values, but some common interests too, do go a long way into building the relationship.
For the love of it, one of our good friends, Malcom, – Glorious Photography pictures, referred us to OAK PLACE HOTEL AND CONFERENCE CENTER! He actually said, “You guys will love it!”
I had heard of it, but we had never been there. So we had our dinner organized and off we went to OAK PLACE HOTEL AND CONFERENCE CENTER, NAIROBI.
Something to note, if you love peace and quiet like we do, this could be real deal!
For us, the experience was exceptional.
Oak Place Hotel and Conference Center is located in the lush suburbs of Kiambu-Nairobi. It’s about 20-25 minutes drive from the CBD off Kiambu road, along Ridgeways Garden Estate Road opposite Oak Lane.
The gate was quite eye catching, both during the day and at night but especially at night, the ambience was so serene. I really couldn’t bring myself to think it was a Friday. Most Fridays are quite chaotic, but not at Oak Place Hotel and Conference Center. It was so quiet and peaceful. It sort of felt like we were exploring a “secret place.”
We were met by a well-dressed concierge. Looking around, I spotted a couple of them. I loved their uniforms.
He led us into the neat hotel, and got us a place to sit.
I am a sucker for intricate details, of which by extension, I have induced into my husband. Their table arrangement did not disappoint. The decor was well balanced. It was not too much, yet still eye candy.
I loved the wooden rugged look of the table pieces. Each carefully engraved by the name of the hotel.
The seats too were comfortable to sit on. Basically, our reception was more than we had anticipated.
The evening passed so fast! We enjoyed our meals, and our Kenyan Tea! With some sweet soothing music in the background! (Yes I love tea, as much as I rarely finish a cup!) . Tasty zesty, savory, delicious, sumptuous are the vocabularies I can use for the meal we had.
The staff were so full of courtesy and civility!
You want to remember how your wedding night felt? Try their honeymoon suites! It really does have a distinct look! The suite presents thick, white terry-cloth bathrobes for you and your hubby or wife, a safe, a vanity table, mini-bars, WI-Fi enabled, HDTV, some thick fluffy carpet and a big bath tub, enough for two! My favorite, fresh flowers!
Of course, on prior request, anything that spells R.O.M.A.N.C.E can be done. Strawberries dipped in chocolate or vanilla, breakfast in bed, private terrace dinner, candle lit dinner for two, sun-downer, complementary wine, OAK Place Hotel and Conference Center memento card, late check out or even an extra day! At the French Riviera Honeymoon Cottage!
(Hunnie, could we get married again?)
The other types of accommodation that they have are the single occupancy and the shared rooms which are air-conditioned, with all the necessary amenities you may need for a comfortable stay.
Other facilities include their conference facilities. So, instead of having the meetings at the usual places, why not suggest to your boss to take it to OAK Place Hotel and Conference Center! I sure will!
Their wedding grounds are neatly mowed and upon inquiry, we were informed that they can accommodate up to 800 guests!
For anyone looking for a place to hold their wedding. Try OAK Place Hotel and Conference Center. Their wedding package is bundled up into having the chairs, tables, PA system, rooms for the bridal party and more, on inquiry.
Team building activities can be done there too! The managers, are so kind enough to take any of your requests and are prompt too in their response. They were in ours! I know, most places drag their feet around, but well, try OAK Place Hotel and Conference Center if you have a team building activities coming up.
For us, the experience was more than expected!
Trust me, it is an amazing place, and it would make your experience even better if you plan earlier with them. Of course any experience is better if planned first hand! Just to keep any changing dynamics at bay.
