She rises also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens
While most of us are yet to arise to arise at night, this woman does. That means, she able to leave her house in order before she goes out of her way for other businesses.
She doesn’t lie in bed the whole day “nursing a hangover.”
Sorry for hitting below the belt, but the truth hurts a bit, then goes a long way to help. This woman is not lazy.
It still reminds me of my mam. Funny enough, I never saw her leave everything to the maid.
She would wake up very early, wash the clothes, cook, prepare food for us pray then leave for work.
The house helps work was only to feed and watch over us, that’s all.
I don’t know if I will ever reach her standards but, she set the bar for us and my goal is to be better!
Proverbs 6:11 says:
A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.
She wakes up, a portions food to her household, plans everything – am sure she prays then she begins her day on a high note.
Waking up early not only has benefits in terms of planning, but it has health benefits too!
It helps you have better quality sleep and you wake up feeling rejuvenated. You get more time to plan your day, and work on your goals.
You are able to do your things at a ‘paced’ rate instead of rushing through everything and rushing your kids too!
It makes you more jovial and less stressed because time is suddenly limited.
You can enjoy breakfast with your family.
You can see your children off to school and bid your husband goodbye.
You can have your QT. QT means quality time.
Quality time to talk to God, quality time to pray, quality time to ask God to walk with you. Quality time to watch the sunrise, quality time to meditate, quality time to have a dawn walk in the morning!
How cool is that! I know there are those days where one is totally exhausted!
But if you are working optimally, waking up early shouldn’t be an issue. It is totally biblical!
God doesn’t rejoice in laziness. He worked too! And so should we.
She is meticulous, she is a planner and she is fair.
She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard
She considers a field before buying it.
She takes into consideration the price, the place; is it located nearby or will she have to incur more cost to go attend to her field?
Is the field fruitful or will she incur more debts and costs while trying to make it fertile?
She carefully considers the worth of that land Vis a Vis her money. Her prudence and shrewdness are her utmost assets. She is not a rushed lady.
Then after that, with THE FRUIT OF her hands, she plants a vineyard.
That is, her earnings give her enough to plant a vineyard field. HER PROFITS.
She doesn’t run into debts borrowing or investing where she knows she cannot get her returns from the investments.
She invests in something long term. A vineyard. Not assets depreciate or lose value over time.
She doesn’t spend on excesses. She channels her earnings into investment.
Do we channel our earnings into investment?
Are you a lady who considers something before buying or are you spendthrift?
Or worse still, are you one of those ladies who because “so and so” got a Benz, you buy one too! Without considering it?
Her husband trusts her exclusively and implicitly.
He knows the value she brings in his life.
Her submission makes him love her the most, and he leaves all to her to manage. He knows he will lack nothing of gain.
So Mrs. There is no need of shouting your lungs out for your husband to listen or for your husband to trust you with the family affairs.
Your actions have a much louder noise.
Be a woman who can encourage your husband to take the big leaps of faith, plan things ahead of time, bring in enough provisions for your family, be prudent, shrewd and hardworking.
