That we will enjoy the gift of life, make merry and find joy in the little things.
So I recommend the enjoyment [of life]. People have nothing better to do under the sun than to eat, drink, and enjoy themselves. This joy will stay with them while they work hard during their brief lives which God has given them under the sun.
As we were doing our bible study about enjoying our everyday life, we came across Ecclesiastes 8:15!
Immediately we were both dumbfounded. How profound! Amazing.
It’s so amazing how God wants us to enjoy our lives, make merry, and engage in mirthfulness!
Of course this doesn’t give us the leeway to engage in wantonness. It doesn’t mean drinking ourselves to a stupor.
It means, being able to rejoice in your toil in meaningful, fun, and creative ways that leaves you both invigorated, your love rekindled and your children happy and blessed.
Yes take a vacation, go watch a movie, hike the mountains, go zip-lining, bungee jump, do some shopping or better still kayak!
Do not be stuck in a rat race, that you end up forgetting that the gift of enjoying your life comes from the Lord.
Have some fun in your marriage. Let lose and enjoy the husband or wife of your youth.
Some guys get married and age instantaneously.
As if marriage is a prison.
Yes, we need the money, we toil each day to secure some high rated fancied goods but do not let the pursuit of an unknown future deprive you of the lawful enjoyment of present good.
Cultivate a cheerful heart, be warm, be happy, rejuvenate your mind by taking a break from the race, and enjoy the little quirks you have well forgotten.
Rekindle those little quirks that were once endearing but you find them quite unbearable lately when it comes to your spouse.
Enjoy the little things you both have.
Enjoy her smile, enjoy his touch.
Enjoy his unending stories even if repeated, enjoy her overcooked meal.
Have a happy frame of mind.
Enjoy your marriage and each other.
This day Lord, i pray that you will give unto us the gift of enjoying all that we have labored for, and therefore enjoy our marriage.
Lord, we end up despising each other after becoming too familiar in marriage.
We do not put the effort we need to for our boat to keep sailing.
So Lord, may we not get stuck in a rut.
Rejuvenate our each being, rekindle our love.
May we find joy in each other and what each one of us does.
May we experience happiness along with all the hard work you give us to do.
May our cheerful hearts be medicine to our bones, according to your word.
Teach us to number our days under the sun, that we may learn to live in wisdom.
In Jesus name,
