Day 4

That we will not miss God’s voice in the busyness of our daily lives.

Jeremiah 18:2

Arise, and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will let you hear my words.

We chase after the wind. We chase after status and titles – a sin that entangles easily, and forget that God is in simplest and most ignored things.

He speaks through the kiss of our spouse.

He speaks through the little hugs from our kids.
He speaks through the giggles of our little ones and the notes from our long-lost friends.

God speaks in the most humane way that we can easily understand, but, our addiction to material vain blinds us to the very things that would fill our souls with contentment.

You see, God told Jeremiah to go to the potter’s house and there would He speak to Him. He came to a level he would understand.

God always comes to a level that we can understand.

He came to earth as Jesus, in human form, so that we would relate to all that He passed through.

Do not be those spouses who ignore one another, just because “you don’t feel like.”

Do not be too busy for your family – your husband, your wife or your children.

Their simple prayer might get your over a boulder.

Their simple hugs, might save your from a nervous breakdown.

Their simple texts, might just relieve some stress about to happen.

Do not be too busy looking for God in complicated far of things because He’s just right there next to you.

Lord Jesus,

We come before you once again. It’s so funny Lord how we are quick to dismiss our spouses or children and yet, you speak through them everyday.

Lord give us the patience to listen and love them.

Help us appreciate every little thing they do, because Lord, they thought about us anyway.

Help us to find ways of reciprocating the Love that they give us.

You speak in very subtle ways, Lord your word is simple – help us to appreciate every moment, listen to you and make it count.

In Jesus name.

Amen.
