DAY 11- COUPLES SWORD CHALLENGE

Day 11

That we will set an example to the rest, giving the right answers when needed.

1st Peter 3:13-15

I remember back some few years ago. Looking at mama and papa and thinking, “I want a marriage like this one!” They looked so perfect together. Despite the usual huddles (they) or we had as a family, they seemed to weather the storms so well together.

Marriages should do so.

They should touch the unseen generation, not just your ow generation. Your marriage should impact on your children and in turn they will impact their children.

Our marriages should reflect a life that is Godly and be an instrument that God uses to tell others of the beauty in his wondrous excellence- The beauty of imperfection in His perfect will.

We must be able to say what is right to impact the generation with what is true and worthy.

We must be able to train them that come after us and instruct them in Godly wisdom. We must be able to answer our children with wisdom and make them disciples that will follow Christ in every way.

Trust me, even if you have no children, you can touch a generation, through your actions and how you live.

Lord Jesus,

Father, we pray that we will be able to set an example to the rest.

We pray that we will make good examples both to the generation that follows us and the one unseen.

Help us to live each day in full knowledge that our lives will reverberate through generations. Keep us from flitting our lives away.

May we make an impact for the generations to come through our marriages. May our marriage be the one that makes a mark even when we are not there.

In Jesus name,

Amen
