Most young people today, more so them that are in courtship sadly think that their relationship is far worthy than God.
Actually they blur him. He’s somewhere in the picture, but not at the focal point.
He is behind the scenes trying to “put himself in the picture.” He feels like an old boring grandpa, looking over his grandkids — yeah!
He doesn’t seem to understand our chemistry! He’s unashamedly omitted, blotted out, actually not even thought about.
Yes, he’s scarcely mentioned.
He’s rarely sort after.
He’s bluntly cursed.
God, the Lord almighty is not in their vision of the present nor the future.
When I see such a relationship, i painfully break.
There is no you without God so in reality, there’s no relationship without God.
Men are not easy to corral, women can get self-absorbed and by all means, selfish.
It’s IN US to be selfish without blushing.
We naturally look out for ourselves and so does everyone in a relationship.
So who else can deal with that very nature of man save by God himself?
Who has the power to mold and shake our very core till we are crushed under His weight of Holiness and righteousness?
Who else except Christ?
The glory of a relationship and marriage is in Christ! We cannot afford to take our focus from Christ. It’s costly and it’s unbearable.
The strength and courage to lay down our selfish impulses and love such an imperfect being comes from the Lord.
The love that embers when all is young and budding cannot take you through marriage successfully, without Christ.
He’s the AUTHOR.
He’s THE PERFECTER.
He’s THE BEGINNING.
He’s THE END.
He is the ONE WHO SUSTAINS.
My husband has to love Christ more than me. Only then will his heart find delight in me – For Christ will teach him how to love an imperfect wife!
I have to love Christ more than my husband. Only then will I be delighted in him – For Christ Will teach me how to submit to an imperfect husband.
Our delight should be in God more than our marriage.
Your delight should be in Christ more than your relationship.
When Christ is at the focal point of that picture, when He is at the focal point of your relationship, then he makes it beautiful.
He makes you beautiful!
