I have had a really long day. From morning, my day has been pretty fast with both good and not so good news.
As I write this, I think about the Faithfulness of God, how Great and awesome He has been to me…but then a strange voice whispers to me and says, “It seems as if God enjoy it when we feel exhausted – right?”
I know that’s not my Shepherds voice. The devil wants to ensnare me in doubt – I will not allow it.
It’s tempting to think and feel as if God is somewhere sited at the back, waving at you as you manoeuvre your way through this hard life.
It’s easy to feel exhausted and extremely fatigued by everything.
We live in an exhausted, exhausting world. We have deadlines to meet, spouses to please, children to take care of, ministries to pursue, and not forgetting about yourself. It all seems so exhausting – it actually is- and one can wear out thin pretty fast…. but…
But… amidst the turmoil and the clamor, there’s a gentle hand that’s always ready to take care of the load. The God of peace reigns.
Sometimes the journey may seem too much. We all get exhausted. We all get to that point and ask the Lord, “Lord, can I do this?”
Our energy fails us, and so do our souls grow weary and tired.
Do you get to that point of saying like Elijah, and say, “It is enough; now, O Lord, take away my life” 1 Kings 19:4.?
I know I do get exhausted. Many times I have felt like throwing in the towel.
But what i love most about this amazing God I serve, is that he attends to us, just like he attended to Elijah.
God sent an angel, woke him up to feed, let him rest again, then woke him up to feed some more.
How can God attend to a mortal being with such unflinching love? How can we stand and act dignified in His presence when all He’s shown is an audacious love? He is Peace, the God of Peace! Shalom is His name.
He was the God of peace.
Look at Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane. He was tired, beaten down, exhausted and pained from what lay ahead of Him.

He cried out in pain, sweat of blood dripping down from His brow.
His Father knew what lay ahead of Him was tumultuous, both physically and emotionally, but He didn’t remove the situation, but He sent an angel to comfort Him.
An angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him. Luke 22:43.
The Lord is a God of peace.
So when you feel weary, tired. When the road seems steep, foggy and winding.
When everyone else seems to move along without any trouble, yet you seem to be battling with everything and everyone, remember the God of Peace.
He cares, He strengthens.
Wipe your tears and be encouraged.
The Lord is with you.
He will fight your battles.
He will strengthen your arms to war.
He will hide you in His loving arms.
He will cover you with His wings.
He will lead you gently.
He will never leave nor forsake you.
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Cast all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully].
