2 Corinthians 10:4–5
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds. Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
Nothing in your life as a born again Christian is a coincidence. Nothing. Do not ever attempt to cheapen the earthly happenings as mere luck or coincidences because the truth is they are not.
The Bible says that the devil roars like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. That’s how serious he is with pulling you to his camp. He’s not our peek-a-boo buddy. He doesn’t cheer us as we press on to the mark of a high calling. He is not one happy face smiling at us!

He is not excited when we pray. He’s not a happy one when we lift up our voices to praise. He would rather have us remain blinded by the earthly desires, cast down by the weight of our sins, get deeply entangled by our lusts and remain totally dependent on his temporal highs. It suits his long term goal. He’s not our friend but our foe.
The devil, the one who was cast down from the heavenly realms, and bears the marks of bitterness and shameful scars, wish that we would all perish. He is not our friend, and we should never be ignorant of his schemes or attempt to negotiate terms and conditions with him. The devil never plays fair. Do not play fair either. He is not just out to win, but to kill, steal and destroy.

The Bible says that our weapons are not carnal. They are not. Earthly stratagems do not work and they are nowhere on the devils list! They are supernatural, because only in the supernatural can you defeat the enemy. The weapons we have are might through God to the pulling down of strongholds! A stronghold is a fortification, set up by the devil to render us captive.
What are you struggling with?

We all have sins that easily beset. If you are not quick tempered, you are maybe full of pride disguised in demeanor that portrays quietness, yet, it’s all pride! Probably you lust over women, covet other people’s husband’s. Probably you have a degree as a home wrecker, maybe you are into pornography.
Maybe the walk of purity has failed you, you cannot seem to get your thighs closed, or you sleep around with every skirt that catches your eye. Maybe it’s greed, the love of money and material gain supersedes your love for Christ. Probably you are a thief. Kleptomaniac or otherwise, you simply take whatever is not yours.
We all have sins that easily beset, but the power of the cross and the blood of Jesus Christ are more than enough to break those chains. Indeed, they are not carnal! What we ought to do is to continuously, cast down every imagination, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. We should by all means, through the power of the Holy Spirit, bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.
Romans 12:2, “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
Remind the devil that it is written!
When thoughts of doubt creep in remind the devil that it is written!
“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.”
When thoughts of covetousness come in remind the devil that it is written!
“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
When the devil triggers thoughts of hopelessness! Remind him that it is written!
“The righteous cry and the LORD hears and delivers them out of all their troubles.”
When the devil tells you that you are irrelevant, remind him that it is written!
1 John 4:4

When the devil pokes you into doubting God’s power over a certain situation that has persisted, remind him that it is written!
2 Chronicles 20:15
“This is what the Lord says to you: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s.
“Do not fear them, for the Lord your God is the one fighting for you.”
When the devil trolls your heart with anxiety, remind the devil that it is written!
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
1 Peter 5:7
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you
When you are afraid of taking a step towards what God needs you to do, remind the devil that it is written!
2 Timothy 1:7
For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.
As we meditate and renew our minds with God’s Word, He illuminates our path. We begin to discern His will, and not just His will, His good and Perfect will, and every other voice fades away. Nothing can stand in the way of the Lord. Remind the devil that it is written! Speak the word.
IT IS WRITTEN!
