Trust in the Lord forever [He is your fortress, your shield, your banner], For the Lord God is an everlasting Rock [the Rock of Ages].
Trusting in the Lord is hard. It’s not easy because we are addicted to control.
I love being in control. I love knowing outcomes even before I set my mind to do something. It’s a good thing sometimes, but still so counter-intuitive in matters of faith and marriage.
It’s not easy just trusting. But the Lord is asking us today to TRUST HIM, and not just trusting in Him, but CONFIDENTLY TRUSTING in Him.
I have been there, I am always there. The Lord taught me this lesson over and over – I guess I kept failing. Until I deliberately decided to LET GOD BE.
You cannot control the outcome of your marriage, but you CONFIDENTLY TRUST IN THE LORD to walk and sustain you both – He is the one who builds a home. (Psalm 127:1)
You cannot control when you will hold a child in your arms, but what you can do IS CONFIDENTLY TRUST IN HIM, who gives the fruit of the womb and the giver of children. (Psalm 127:3)
You cannot control when you will get a job, but you CONFIDENTLY TRUST IN THE LORD who says that you will lack no good thing! (Psalm 34:10)
You cannot control sickness and ailments, but even when they come, you CONFIDENTLY TRUST IN THE LORD who says that He is your healer – Jevohah Rapha is His name! (Exodus 15:26)
Confidently trust in the Lord! He never fails!
