I wish God can speak to me! I wish God can tell me if he is the right guy! He already did girl, but you are still clinging onto a relationship that the lord declared and decreed, “NOT MINE”.
You have prayed, yeah, but still fix up the man for yourself simply because you are lonely.
You have prayed, but compromise on your principles because “he is good.”
You know that you are born again, he is not, but because he doesn’t seem bad, he occasionally goes to church, he’s a right fit.
You have prayed but still hold onto the thread that the Lord is saying cut it down.
You have prayed, but still follow his Facebook, IG, Tweets to “confirm if indeed he moved on.”
The Bible says that we pray but we don’t have simply because we pray amiss! (James 4:3). You are praying amiss. Time to let go. It’s time to give the Lord ample space to plant you!
Cut the cord!
Is it easy to let a wrong relationship go? No it’s not. It’s easier to cling onto a familiar misery than venture into a territory that’s ghastly unfamiliar – it’s a control issue. We would rather pray, “Lord, make him love me.” “Lord help him to get saved.” “I will preach to him.” “Make him fall in love with me.” “Blind him that he will not see any other woman.” “Make him stay with me.”
It’s alright to pray for him to get saved, but you cannot do evangelism dating. One of you will have to quench their fire, and mostly, you will quench the fire of Christ. Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good character.” (1st Corinthians 15:33)
Pray but, always ask yourself, does that prayer seek the will of God?
The will of God is sometimes hard – most times, since He might not go our way, but it’s the BEST. The will of God is never warm, fuzzy or evokes feelings of excitement. The will of God is most of the time so abstruse. Literally back- breaking. It’s hard but it heals!
Girl, time to cut the cord! Stop the obsessive loop. Stop stalking him through social media. Take back control by letting it go. Time to severe the placenta and feed through the right conduit. Christ and Christ alone. He is able to heal and direct your paths in the right way. He is the shepherd. Let Him lead.
Cut the cord!
The LORD is your shepherd; you will lack nothing. He will make you lie down in green pastures, he will lead you beside quiet waters. He will refresh your soul. He will guide you along the right paths for His name’s sake. Even though you walk through the darkest valley, you will fear no evil, for He is with you; His rod and His staff, will comfort you.
He will prepare a table before you in the presence of your enemies. He will anoint your head with oil; your cup will overflow. Surely His goodness and love will follow you all the days of your life, and you will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
Cut the cord!
