In Marriage Matters, Singleness & Relationships

  1. You need to protect HER purity because it’s a PERFECT gift to YOURself.

James 1:17

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

Ephesians 5:25-30

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself…

Every good and perfect gift comes from the Lord and purity tops on the list. God calls us to be Holy as He is and demands nothing less. It is definitely not by own strength or might but it is God who works in us to WILL and TO WORK His perfect will for His good pleasure – Philippians 2:13.

The sanctification of your wife to be is for your own good Mr. Don’t awaken love before it so desires! You need her to be in the right standing for the season of marriage.

Have you ever walked past an exhibition and seen a good car, dress, suit, a luxurious watch, a pair of shoe, handbag or whatever that pleased your eye then? Days later, after planning for it, financially, or even physically (by clearing the clutter), you acquired it? How did it make you feel?

Think about this. If such material gains, though vain have a way of making us happy – albeit temporal, how much more do you think a virtuous woman impacts her husband’s life?

Sexual desire is a powerful tool. It can either break or bond. 1 Corinthians 6:16 tells us that SEX not only joins one physically, but more than that, spiritually.

The act itself activates ready hormones called Oxytocin. The same chemical composition that bonds a mother to her child through breastfeeding.

SEX imprints, and if there is one thing God wanted to protect our hearts from, are the pains that come through being vulnerable too soon and the hemorrhage that comes from cutting off emotional attachments, or soul ties as commonly known.

Her purity therefore, is good for you Mr. because it not only makes her outwardly glow, her inner beauty grows staid enough to withstand all life’s troubles.

A beautiful woman on the inside is attractive on the outside. She ceases to be needy and becomes the woman you need because the Word, Christ, is her true North. She becomes a gracious helper not a diabolical pest. She becomes the closest confidant, not a comrade.

She becomes a partner, not simply an acquaintance. She carries your burdens and shoulders them with you, not with an acquiesce, but with love. Your pains and gains of this world are hers too.

Her purity, becomes your investment. You reap from it daily. You will be naked and unashamed before her, get to place of vulnerability with her– and she will cover your heart!

Wouldn’t you want to trust in your wife? – Proverbs 31:11

Wouldn’t you want her to bring you good and no harm? All the days of your life – Proverbs 31:12

Wouldn’t you want to be praised at the gates because she has made your name great – Proverbs 31:23

Wouldn’t you want someone who watches over the affairs of your household? – Proverbs 31:27

Wouldn’t you want to be given the space to exercise your authority without being stifled – 1st Corinthians 11:3

Notice that the man in Proverbs 31 wasn’t praised because he slept with her. Or because she was a frivolous woman.

The Bibles says that a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Proverbs 31:30. The beauty of the Lord makes a woman desirable and more so, to her husband.

A wife of noble character is her husband’s crown, but a disgraceful wife is like decay in his bones. Proverbs 12:4. Her dependence on Christ is your greatest gift.

Her purity will serve you good in your marriage. Protect it all cost.
