DAY 30: THAT HE WILL BE WHOLE

1st Thessalonians 5:23

May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

It’s been 29 days, 29 pointers, 29 requests made from the mouth of this imperfect wife to the perfect God on behalf of her husband.

On this final day, I looked at my husband in the morning, I couldn’t help but think about his personal walk of faith. I couldn’t help but think about his own salvation. I found myself pleading again before the Lord, that He will not only heal his struggles, relieve his burdens, and restore what only He can, but I prayed that Jesus will make him WHOLE.

It’s interesting to see how CHRIST called for wholeness of those who came to Him when they were sick. The 10 lepers were healed, but only one was made WHOLE. The pertinent prostitute was made WHOLE. The man at the pool of Bethesda was made WHOLE.

See, WHOLENESS is where his being, that’s compounded by his spirit, soul and body, all are sanctified and purified from the pollution of sin.

God can cause his physical body, his soul with all sensations, appetites, and propensities of different kinds, his spirit, the immortal principle, the source of life to the body and soul, to all live for His glory.

Sickness can render ones walking troublesome, if not impossible. Spiritual sickness, can render our husbands incapable of moving, if not spiritually impotent.

To such a husband, the Lord asks, “Do you want to be made WHOLE?”

Being whole means that CHRIST becomes the center of his life. He lives, a life of exchange, of utter dependence, sheer surrender, willful laying down of his life. Giving up to gain. Dying to self to live. Giving up to receive, serving for greatness. Not partial dependence, full dependence.

For WHOLENESS to be birthed, we should remember that our relationship to God, and cooperation with Him, is not that He does the larger part and we the lesser, but that God does all and we do all, God all in us.

In his dependence upon God, he will secure his own true independence. The independence that his heart cries out for, is found in his WHOLENESS in Him.

He that accepts the life of unceasing dependence on Christ as life, and health, and strength, is made whole.

As we come to the end of this challenge, do pray that your husband will be WHOLE. WHOLE in the Lord. That his body, soul and spirit will cry out to the deepest, eternal things of God. That he will be in utter dependence on the Lord.

That he will deny himself to be nourished.

That the Shechinah of God’s presence, will radiate from his spirit, pour over into his soul, until it shines through the very curtains of his body.

The Lord asks him, today, “Do you want to be made WHOLE?” Pray that he will heed to the call.

Prayer

Heavenly Father in Jesus name, I thank you for this day. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to praise you and worship your name.

Lord, you make everything whole. You not only heal, but make all new. You restore, you keep. You raise and promote. You sustain and nourish. You are the one who makes all whole.

I pray for my husband this day. Heavenly Father, make him whole. Surround him with your fire, saturate him with your fire, set his feet on with your fire. May he be whole.

May he rest in you, carried by you, living for you, glorifying you, guided by you, walking with you, breathing in you, living for you. Make him whole.

Stir every gift in him. Cause him to live for you.

In Jesus name I pray, Amen
