Action: Get Inside, Head First.
Launchpad: A double minded person is unstable on all he does. Unstable actions are weak. They amount to nothing. Whatever amounts to nothing has no value. Valueless things are of no use. And such is the life of a man who has a wavering mind.
He is indecisive, not knowing which path to take.
He can’t make any concrete plans.
Everything he does has a 50/50 chance of survival.
He’s neither hot or cold.
Such people, God says that He shall spit them out of His mouth.
Having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power.
It’s like luke-warm water.
Neither here nor there.
They never commit to anything too.
They often use the words like ‘Maybe, Might, Let’s wait and see’ , and so on.
They wait to see, instead of acting and being sure of what is coming.
Many of such characters are lazy, sitting back as the world unfolds around them.
I love the character of our God.
In the beginning, He said ‘Let’s Make Man…..’ and the rest is history. He’s very decisive and always starts what He knows it shall come to pass. He knows the end before the beginning.
When He embarks on anything, every little detail is put into perspective. He’s excellent in all He does. He throws everything in.
That’s our point of reference gentlemen.
There are many men who enter into marriage with one foot. The other one is left in singleness, still holding on to bachelorhood.
Some don’t even realise what they are getting into until they are in it.
But why should you be in doubt of who you want to spend your life with on your wedding day?
Why should you be living with someone who you are not sure is the one?
One thing I know about marriage is that if you are not in it Head First, you will definitely have problems.
When you’ve not decided to leave all others and cleave to your wife, bumpy roads are in the offing.
Double minded husbands breed instability in the family.
They are never decided on issues of the marriage and family.
They are easily swayed from one side to another by the opinions of others.
These are the kind that still chase skirts out there.
I believe in giving all or nothing at all. Nothing in between.
This was one of the hardest lessons I Iearnt from my wife when we were starting out our courtship.
I instinctively knew that she’s not the type to be played with. I had to put myself in order. I knew what I had to do, Forsake all and cleave to her.
As a husband, when you have fully committed to love and to hold on to your wife till your last breathe, God blesses your union.
God can now work with you at a deeper level.
You can reason together with Him.
So today purpose (if you haven’t) to be fully committed to your marriage and leave no room for ‘what ifs’. Only then can you experience the joy and fulfillment that God has place in this lovely and divine institution.
Stop the side shows and the side chicks.
They only keep you farther from the real deal.
Remain faithful to your calling of being a husband to one woman, your wife.
Be in it, Head First.
God calls us to this.
James 1:6b-8; for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
Dear Lord, help me in by in decisiveness. Its my desire to be fully committed to you and to my wife. Help me in the areas that I am unfaithful. Build me and create in me a clean heart. Renew my mind, body and soul by your Spirit.
In Jesus name I pray.
