Action: Love her through the seasons.
Launchpad: Life is a collection of seasons blended together in a sequential chronology. It’s beauty life in the fact that no season is like any other other and every season yields something different. Some seasons are similar but not identical. That’s life in a nutshell.
How we handle these seasons can either bring out the best or the worst in us.
It’s all about perspective.
Today I want you to think about the seasons your wife has gone through and how you two handled them. Did you love her?
Those seasons when you felt that she was not loving. Those seasons when you found out that she had forgotten how to be submissive. The seasons of misunderstandings, the seasons of lack.
Those times that she wasn’t okey and you didn’t understand. The seasons of barrenness. That season when all she could do is shoot down every one of your ideas. Seasons of pregnancies. Her body changing from figure eight to  letter ‘D’. Did you still love her unconditionally? The seasons of pain and sorrow. The seasons of loss. In sickness and in health. In wealth and in lack. In abundance and in scarcity. Have you loved her? Has she felt your love?
The constant denominator in all these seasons is love. Love conquers all. It endures all. Love never fails.
Take some time today and reflect upon this. Ask yourself whether you have been faithfully loving your spouse through all her seasons.
Make amends starting today of you find yourself wanting in some areas. For His Glory!
Bible Verse:
1 Cor 13:4-7
Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
Dear God, you are the author of seasons. In all seasons your love for us is steadfast. May I mirror your image in my family. May those under me experience your love through me.
In Jesus name I pray.
