Now there was in the citadel of Susa a Jew of the tribe of Benjamin, named Mordecai son of Jair, who had been carried into exile from Jerusalem by Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon.

He was a man, like any other, who had no societal influence, but had an indelible mark on Hadassah, also known as Esther who became Queen after Vashti acted dishonourably to her husband King Xerxes, and was divorced.

All Modecai kept doing was that he walked back and forth near the courtyard of the harem to find out how Esther was and what was happening to her.

As any father would, he kept a close eye on Esther, and his presence reminded her of their roots and her promise of keeping secret her family background and nationality.

It was at that time when Modecai aborted a plot by Bigthana and Teresh to assassinate the King. When the report was investigated and found to be true, the two officials were impaled on poles.

All this was recorded in the book of the annals in the presence of the king. But seems like the King forgot it until way later when evil seemed as though it would take it’s reigns through the villan Haman.

God in His own miraculous yet humourous way, made Haman robe Mordecai, and led him on horseback through the city streets, proclaiming before him, “This is what is done for the man the king delights to honor!”

He shouted the name of Modecai as a man whom the King HONOURED for acting selflessly for a Kingdom that was not his birth place, and for a people who considered him foreign.

This angered Haman more and his anger, fully bloomed, birthed sin. The couriers went out, spurred on by the king’s command, and the edict to annihilate all Jews was issued in the citadel of Susa.

The King and Haman sat down to drink, but the city of Susa was bewildered.

The pivotal change happened when Esther reveled Haman’s plot to annihilate Jews, Esther being one of them. On the gallows he built, the villan himself hang and Modecai was promoted to his position.

The Lord honours his people. It doesn’t matter if evil seems to have taken the faster pace on, God always cedes all powers of darkness, principalities, rulers of the high places, and all demonic plans made against the children of the Holy Lord.

God will honour our husbands if they refuse to bow down to any other God but Him.

God will honour our husbands if they keep their focus on Him without being distracted.

Honour needs strength to be fully actualized. Let us pray for our husbands that God, through the power of the Holy Spirit, will keep their eyes on the prize, pressing on towards the mark of the higher calling.

That their destinies will NEVER be aborted.

Their future will NEVER be impaled.

Their lives will NEVER be cut short prematurely.

Their vision will NEVER stall.

Their hearts will NEVER grow tempid.

They shall live to declare and decree the works of the Holy Lord in the land of the living.

Heavenly father in Jesus name. I thank you for your grace and mercy, so unsurpassable.

I thank you for the HONOUR that you will bestow unto my husband for your name’s sake.

I refuse all powers of darkness against my husband’s life, his future, destiny and vision.

I bring down all principalities and rulers of the dark world against his life in Jesus mighty name.

I declare that he will be honoured at the marketplace and at all spheres of his life.

He shall be called great. He shall be placed in influencial positions. His name shall not be tainted by the devil.

He shall conquer the world for greater is He that is in him than who is in the world.

He is a man of honour and he shall be honoured for he honours you.

In Jesus name! In Jesus name I pray, amen
