From the onset of their journey of manhood and masculinity, men have often been driven. They thrive in getting things done. Conquering the unconquerable, breaking boulders and bending down iron bows.

However that drive can quickly fade away into the realm if there’s no greater force other than what’s without.

Life has a way of hitting us way below the belt. It hurts. It pains. It’s perplexing. That’s why every man needs another greater force when tumultuous turns knock on. A greater force than the claim on testesterone.

That force is called CHAZOWN.

Hebrew word CHAZOWN means VISION.

The Bible declares this in Proverbs 29:18, Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

Another translation says, Where there is no vision, the people are unrestrained, But happy is he who keeps the law. Proverbs 29:18
The Hebrew root word ‘paw-rahmeans “to perish.”

It also means, (make) naked, set at nought, perish, refuse, uncover, let loose_literally.

Where there is no chazown, when a man has no dream, no revelation, no vision, no sense of his created purpose, he will perish.

He will be naked, set to nought, be uncovered, refuse godly wisdom, and literally go loose!

He will perish because his desires will rule over his godly purpose, and he will live by it’s dictate_ Romans 8:13

He will perish because he will lack understanding and knowledge on how to live in the world. He will not discern what needs discernment, more so in choosing a virtuous woman._ Job 36:12

He will perish because he refuses to be fed from the lips of the righteous_ Proverbs 10:21

He will perish because he will fall in the hands of a strange woman, be reduced to nothing but a crust of bread, or fall for an adulteress who will hunt his precious life _ Proverbs 6:26.

Have you seen the men with no chawzon? No vision? Have you seen how much they struggle with simply being men?
Have you seen how they move through the motions of life, just because they have to?

Their masculinity threatens them. They cannot stand a woman who knows her direction in life. They try to assert themselves through an arrogant smug of dominance.
They hurt others to get sense of importance, and leech on others to get a sense of belonging.

The problem with this is that it’s a force from without, it’s not from within. Since it’s a cavalier attitude disguised as masculinity, they often disintegrate.

Synthetic type of dominance does not have enough centrifugal force to keep a man grounded.

If a husband no vision of his spiritual walk, like a plucked rose flower scorched by the sun, then trampled on the ground, he will simply fade out and forget about his SALVATION.

If a husband has no vision for a godly family [ being the head, wired and mandated to lead the family as a servant leader] chances of him divorcing or neglecting the wife are close.

If a husband has no vision of making his family financially secure, chances are that he will care less about how he spends the family basket, care less about what his children feed on, their school fees, their welfare, and everything that partains to the family finances.

But with vision, a husband lives for more than just himself. He becomes a man with a right standing. A righteous man and such a righteous man lives for the next generation.

Fellow Wives, that should be our prayer point.

A husband with a vision, ‘chazown’, realises that the world does not revolve around him and that there’s more to life than just eating, drinking and having fun.

He no longer lives for himself but for God, his family, relatives and humanity.

You need to pray that your husbands will stay true to his CHAZOWN.
That it will be compelling enough to keep him going even when the forces from without threaten to displace him.

Know that God’s plan for his life is is grand in His grandeur. It’s bigger than where he is now or what he’s doing.

For that spring to burst forth into living waters, he needs to keep connected to His creator. He is the conduit through which he will tap into an effervescent greatness.

He owns the VISION, and will gladly bestow upon your husband the vision that will outlive him.

Heavenly Father, the maker of heaven and earth and every thing on the earth, and under the seas, I thank you for your divine image bearer, my husband.

Above all, you created him for a purpose. You have a pre-destined vision for his life. Today, I pray that his vision will be compelling enough to keep him pushing on.

I pray that you will stir an extra measure of grace in him everyday, to live beyond what is before his very eyes.

Help him not to perish for lack of vision in every facet of his life. May he be directed by you Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit.

May his vision for his life, his family, his career, his growth, his spiritual walk, finances, parenting, ministry, all outlive him.

May he life for the generation and the generations to come.May people know you through him. May all glory and honor be unto you as he lives all for you Lord.

In Jesus name I pray, Amen
