4. Singleness is just for a season.
The Bible says that there’s time for everything. There’s time to plant and time to harvest.
There is a time to live, and a time when the Lord will call us home. There are seasons in life.
There’s a time of singleness and a time to get married.
There’s that time.
While we may be tempted to think that God isn’t answering our prayers in regards to having a mate, He knows pretty well why Has delayed the timing.
Instead of being impatient and with a fretting spirit, why not ask the Lord to teach you what he wants you to learn.
Most delays that happen in life, are for our own good.
To teach us to place our trust in Him.
When I look back, at my singleness years, I thank God for these – HIS GRACE AND CONTENTMENT.
The Bible says in

1st Timothy 6:6, that
Godliness and contentment is a great gain and for sure it still is.

I was contented and I was sure that at God’s appointed time, I will be a wife. I wasn’t sure about “when”, but I was okay anyway.
I remember the first day my hubby approached me – I was so busy doing my homework. He said “hey” but in my head I was like “GET BEHIND ME SATAN!!” “NOOOOO!! I REFUSE IN JESUS NAME! NOT ANOTHER MAN TO DERAIL ME!”
Well, to cut the story short, I was fine alone with the Lord, contented and happy and busy doing ministry.
I didn’t even know that we will end up getting married for my focus was not there.
I was tired of relationships that lead me to “him”, I yearned for a man who could lead me to HIM! Christ.
Years on, we settled, and the Lord has been gracious to us in more ways than we could ever fathom.
That should tell you something, singleness is just for a season.
It’s temporal. It’s not permanent.
We are the ones who put curfews and limitations to ourselves, not the Lord.
We are the ones who speak of biological clocks.
We are the ones who think bearing a child at old age is dangerous.
I think about Sarah, the [ mother of NATIONS AS GOD CALLED HER]- in Hebrews 11, in the famous HALL OF FAITH.
She is the lady who took God at His word and received the promise of God on child bearing at old age.
Her emotional baggage was doubt, fear and unbelief but she CONSIDERED THE LORD FAITHFUL.
The Lord honored that for having faith in Him.
What is your junk? And does that hinder you from considering the Lord faithful to what He has promised?
The Lord says in Isaiah 34:16 that…none shall be without her mate…He has promised that, and His word does not return to Him void without accomplishing what He has sent it to do.
You shall one day walk down the aisle too – so enjoy the season you are in now!
Be a victor in your singleness, don’t play victim.
Don’t play chronic amnesic either, forgetting whom you belong to.
Do not define yourself as a single Christian, but a Christian, who happens to be single, for it’s just but a season in life.
Make the right decisions in your singleness, have due diligence in whatever you step out to do, for the decisions you make will build or destroy your future.
Do not just build on your “curb appeal”, but take this time to build on your character.
Character might not define explicitly what you should do, but it will definitely define what you should NOT DO!
Singleness is not permanent!
