As we come close to the end of this single’s series, I hope we are getting blessed and better at being the single whole entity that you should be before the Lord gifts you a gift of marriage.

It’s sad that most people do not want to live within their means.
I say they don’t want because I have seen – many trying to keep up with the Joneses.
We will never be the same. The Bible talks about having Godliness with contentment and unfortunately most of us nowadays do not have even a trace of it.
We want the big cars, the houses, the jobs, the vacations without lifting a finger.
In the process, most get into debts. You borrow from everywhere, just to keep up with the status quo. Borrowing with not strategy of investment.
You need to be more than a person who is accrues debt.
No one wants to marry a liability.
Can you learn to manage yourself with what you have?
If you want something, just save up. However long, save up, then buy it.
Learn to save money rather than borrow around to a point of self-bankruptcy.
Learn to live and budget within your means.
We all grow from somewhere, so appreciate that process of growth.
You will avoid the headache that comes with trying to keep up with everyone else.

We happened to be in a zone where our phones could not tap to any signal around.
We couldn’t call, text – basically our phones went blank.
Momentarily I thought my phone had a problem, only for my hubby to tell me that it’s normal considering where we were then. It got me thinking. Do you have your own “shut downs?”
Honestly, you will need to get some restrictions. Have some shut down at times.
Set a guard on your heart.
The Bible says this in
Proverbs 4:23 “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”
Guard your heart.
Hatred, love, peace, quietness, gentleness or otherwise flow from your heart.
Know who needs access to it and why.
Consider your bedroom. Do you let everyone in to your bedroom? I don’t think so. So why do you open up your heart and share out your dreams to all and sundry?
You need to learn how to be discreet.
I don’t mean being mean, rude, or arrogant.
I don’t mean being unfriendly or anti-social.
I mean this, learn to give “access” to your heart after verifying who falls where, and why.
Learn to discern demands. Learn to know what requires your attention and why. Learn to live for yourself, not for someone else nor for approval. You don’t need to follow something or someone just because everyone else is.
Learn to question things before committing.
Learn to ask…
You better join a pack of lions than assume lead among the foxes. Guard your heart. Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. (Proverbs 4:23)
